We guess we should start by saying hi!
We’re Christina and Jennifer. Sisters, travel buddies, and certified experts in justifying spontaneous trips despite our very much non-luxury budgets. If you’ve ever sat with your friends and said “we can’t really afford this holiday,” and then booked it anyway… you’re in the right place.
What is Manta Ray Cove all about?
We’ve spent the last few years hopping from place to place, trying new things, discovering hidden gems, and collecting enough travel tips, hacks and “well, that was a disaster” stories to fill a small novel. So, we decided to put it all in one place…this blog. Somewhere between real reviews and ridiculous travel anecdotes, you’ll find the good, the bad, the useful, and probably far too much about margaritas (fair warning, cocktail references are going to feature heavily throughout).
We’re not influencers — and we’re okay with that.
We’ve tried the posed candids. We’ve tried to “get the shot.” And every single time, we’ve ended up with a camera roll full of blurred faces, accidental double chins, and our boyfriends waiting to eat their food while we scream “just one more angle!” So if you’re looking for airbrushed golden hour photos in wide-brimmed hats… sorry, that’s not us.
But if you’re here for:
- Honest recommendations
- Budget-friendly travel tips
- Laugh-out-loud mishaps
- Real-life stories from two real-life gals
- And maybe a few too many spicy marg reviews…
Then you’re going to feel right at home at Manta Ray Cove.
So what can you expect from this blog?
We’re diving into all things travel — from where to stay, what to eat, how to find the best deals, and why sometimes the weirdest things make the best memories. Whether you’re planning your next big adventure or just nosy about where we ended up this time, we’re so glad you’re here.
We’re not here to be perfect. We’re here to be helpful, honest, and (hopefully) a little bit entertaining. Whether you’re a seasoned traveller or just figuring out how to pack carry-on only (we’re still working on that too), thanks for joining us for the ride.
